Product platform & carbon data
Ewan builds Releaf Carbon's SaaS platform. On the product side, he runs the Next.js + Sanity + TypeScript stack that powers the public site, the editorial studio and the upcoming client app. On the data side, he orchestrates emission-factor ingestion, scope modeling and audit-ready exports for Carbon Footprint engagements.
His angle: a carbon tool is only worth something if every input is traceable back to the invoice, and every output survives an auditor without rework. No black boxes, no magic aggregation — every emission line must be explainable.
Outside of code, Ewan tracks evolving standards (ISO 14067, GHG Protocol scope 3 cat. 1, PEF v3) and the open-source carbon ecosystem (climatiq, openclimate, owid).

- Designed and built the product platform (Next.js 16, Sanity CMS, strict TypeScript).
- Shipped full i18n (6 locales) with next-intl + multi-locale GROQ.
- Industrialized the editorial pipeline: live Sanity preview, webhook revalidation, dynamic multi-locale sitemap.
- Integrated ADEME Base Empreinte v23 emission factors into the data layer.

- Wave Mobile Money (Dakar): refactored a critical Go service in the payments back-end, +35% throughput on notifications.
